It’s the moment that matters…

If wedding bells are in your future (or your child’s future), congratulations!

But, let’s get real…real pricey that is. Wedding bells also mean can mean big ‘cha chings’ to your pocket book too! Bridal showers, invitations, dresses, favors, flowers, cake, gifts, rings, oh man! The list just keeps growing. Start adding all those fairy tale pieces together, and it can mean big bucks! But what about, ‘Happily ever after’? So often in today’s fast paced world of glitter and gold, today’s brides, grooms, family & friends forget that the moment the ‘I do’ rolls off the tongue, the real journey begins. We want to stop for a moment and focus on what REALLY matters.
Look, we’re a company that sells wedding stuff! But we’re also hear to tell you, it’s not what you buy from us or anyone else. Maybe another company will tell you different, but we won’t. We want you all to know, we’d love to have a small part in your story, but that’s exactly what it is- a small part. When the party’s over and the tally has been taken, what’s most important is the commitment the bride & groom are making, in front of their Maker, family, & friends.

Secrets to working for yourself (or someone else!)

Yeah, I do love what I do! But let’s get this straight- it can be frustrating, tiring, and down right stressful! We all face that, regardless of what position we hold in life. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or dad, a social media expert, a construction worker, or waiting tables to get through college (or those many life time restaurant peeps like I was)- we all know what it feels like to be at the end of your rope!
Instead of getting real ‘deep’ today, I just wanted to share a quirky bit of stress relief for those that might need it. It’s hump day- be sure to get to the top of that hump & maybe try to unwind at some point (especially if you’re only wishing it was already the weekend).
Here’s just one of my secrets..no, it won’t work for everyone, but give it a twist of your own if needed & take some ownership and know only you have the power to ddddd-stress! Take a 15 minute walk, do some funky stretches, stop and smell some flowers, or just stand a take some deep breaths and feel the wind in your hair! A little moment in time just may go a long way to getting you back in the saddle!
Photos below are of TheShellLady & her dogs & grand dogs. A ‘planned’ quick studio yoga stretch gone just a little ‘unplanned’. It turned into a much longer moment of wrestling, slobber, and a lot of laughter!

With our Etsy shop (SeashellsbySeashore) tentatively closed, we are working as fast as possible to update our site. http://www.LovingCoastalLiving.com was our secondary site, but currently our only site open after the Texas storms.
We look forward to sharing a huge hidden stock of antiques & estate finds, vintage corals & seashells galore, plus all those fabulous custom creations from the minds of each individual bride, groom, momma, and failed DIY projects (they were great ideas y’all, we were honored to create your dreams!).
